Debunking the manufacturing myth: Made in Manchester, Made in Britain
Vebro Polymers: Made in Manchester, Made in Britain

We are delighted to announce that Vebro Polymers is now proudly part of the Made in Britain manufacturing community.

The not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to supporting British manufacturers under a single, registered collective mark, works collaboratively with other UK trade bodies, relevant UK government departments and media channels, to promote high quality employment, responsible business and sustainable economic growth.

When our Vebro venture began back in 2020, our Day One focus was sales, marketing and the value-add that we can give back to our applicator partners such as lead generation, specification and technical support accumulated though our combined experience in the global industry.

In 2021, we purchased PR Epoxy, a resin flooring manufacturing business with a 35-year history as well as an extensive formulation book specialising in seamless polymer floor coating, self-levelling, priming, binding and sealing materials.

The acquisition prompted the relocation from our Knutsford sales office to Trafford Park, Europe’s largest industrial estate, meaning the entire HQ-based team – including the production and warehouse teams, our technical and marketing specialists, as well as back-end sales support – could be on one hub site.

The move also prompted the formation of Vebro Group, comprising Vebro Polymers globally, as well as PR Epoxy, which operates as a private-label manufacturer of both solvent-free and water-dispersible primers, binders, sealers and grouts for a variety of coatings and flooring suppliers, as well as modified resins for a variety of different customers and purposes.

While we still see ourselves first and foremost as a designer of seamless, multi-layer, polymer-based flooring solutions rather than just a fulfilment-driven material supplier, Vebro has grown way beyond our expectations over the last three years, and we are proud to share that we manufacture over two thirds of all material sold from our base in Trafford Park and design 100% of the systems we promote!

While many brands choose to take their manufacturing overseas for a number of reasons, primarily due to lower labour costs, we chose to buck the trend and focus on providing you with consistently high-quality products, on your doorstep!

Since establishing roots in Manchester, Vebro Group has made a sizeable investment into our Research and Development, bringing on board two of the most revered polymer flooring chemists in the industry, Grant Adamson and Eden Leonard; who working as a dream team over two continents have driven a number of formulatory improvements to our existing portfolio of products as well as pioneered the development of new materials.

As an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer, Vebro is committed to continual improvement, and our recent appointment of Lee Hardy as Head of Operations is just the latest investment into the refinement and enhancement of our UK HQ’s manufacturing capability.

In the short time Vebro Group has been established in its Manchester home, on-site production capacity has increased by 300%, with significant investment into resource and equipment to meet the demand of the resin flooring market, both domestically in the UK and beyond across Continental Europe.

Now, as a member of the Made in Britain community, we join impeccable company including Bisley, Wren Kitchens, Hayter, Thomas Crapper & Co, Anglian Home Improvements, JTAPE, Cirrus Research, Knauf, Formica, and our fellow FeRFA member The Preparation Group , and many, many more.
