Horizon Cruise Terminal is making waves in Vebro’s new video! As we gear up for the Contract Flooring Journal (CFJ) Awards 2024, where the project involving the installation of vebroflex Comfort UV at the terminal is a proud nominee, Vebro Polymers has published the video below to showcase what makes Horizon Cruise Terminal stand out!
Associated British Ports (ABP) contacted Vebro for their expertise in seamless resin flooring for high-traffic commercial environments and, after an initial phone consultation and a site visit, Vebro proposed using their vebroflex Comfort UV flooring to address the previous floor’s surface issues throughout the concourse. The plan included a three-week installation window in early December, during which ABP redirected cruise traffic to provide full site access while the team at Capeland Limited installed the new floor.
Despite challenges from inclement weather causing a roof leak and subsequent delays, Capeland Limited‘s installation team ground and primed the existing concrete surface, applied the comfort body coat, and sealed the flooring. The process required careful scheduling to allow each layer to cure overnight.
The project was completed successfully, and ABP was so impressed with the results that they plan to implement a roll out of the installation of vebroflex Comfort UV in other buildings across the complex in the coming years.
The impressive project has been nominated as a finalist, among good company in the Flooring in Community & Public Spaces, at the Contract Flooring Journal Awards 2024, with the winners announced in September 2024.
