Vebro Polymers Marks Successful Year of Trading by Welcoming New Investment Partner
Mark Greaves, Chairman Vebro Polymers

Vebro Polymers, a privately owned supplier of polymer-based flooring systems, cementitious screed underlayments and car park deck waterproofing and wearing surfaces, based in Knutsford, Cheshire, has recruited a new investment partner to accelerate the company’s next phase of growth following a highly successful first year of trading.

Mark Greaves, a well-known local businessman with significant global experience in the construction products and related building materials markets, joins co-founders, Craig Brookes and Mark Verinder, by taking up the role of Executive Chairman.

Vebro Polymers supplies a wide range of seamless resin-based flooring solutions including epoxy, polyurethane and MMA floor coating systems, liquid-vinyl comfort flooring, decorative terrazzo in collaboration with renowned London-based stone specialists, Diespeker & Co as well as pump-applied levelling underlayments, performance enhancing screed additives and car park waterproofing and wearing systems for multi-storey parking structures.

With a team that boasts over 200 years’ combined industry experience in the global polymer flooring market, the company has enjoyed accelerated success securing flooring projects at a number of flagship venues and cutting-edge new build developments as well as for blue-chip manufacturing, retail and distribution groups.

“We are delighted to be joined by Mark who will further strengthen and enhance the Vebro business as we approach a busy year end and with exciting plans in the pipeline set to be unveiled in early 2021,” says Craig Brookes, CEO and co-founder.

“Mark brings a wealth of experience in the building materials industry and a vast network of global contacts. On behalf of my colleagues and business partner, I would like to welcome Mark to the team and look forward to working with him again.”

Greaves has spent over 30 years developing and acquiring successful construction chemicals businesses worldwide. Greaves transformed a £1 million polymer flooring manufacturer from its UK roots to a £65 million global success story before selling to an international US-based holding group listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Prior to retiring in 2018, Greaves enjoyed roles as a Group President for Cleveland, Ohio-based RPM International Inc, and previously as CEO of Flowcrete Group, headquartered in Sandbach, Cheshire for over 25 years.

For those not in the know, Greaves is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor – making a significant number of investments into local home-grown Cheshire businesses including the popular craft beer brand, Beartown Brewery as well as Wild & Wild, an award-winning plant-based eatery located at the heart of Congleton High Street.

Speaking of his latest investment venture Greaves said, “In this market, service and reputation are critical to long-term growth.”

“Vebro Polymers is a young, dynamic brand with an excellent team of knowledgeable people behind it who are committed to providing customers with an unrivalled service offering and world-class product solutions. I’m delighted to be able to share my experience at an exciting time of strong growth and momentum for the company.”
